The Salvation Repo Man
Is Your Pastor Preaching Hell More Than Jesus
PimpPreacher.com Ocean Springs Mississippi Bureau 09/09/2012

I don’t know about you, but I am totally done with the “End Times Ministries” and the entire “You’re going to hell crowd.” Just the other day I listened to a preacher who tried everything in his power to scare his members into submission with the word “Hell” which totally confused me because I thought all of the same members we’re already saved from hell.

If you’re in fact preaching to the choir then why are you preaching about going to hell?

Are we really saved from hell because of the sacrifice of Jesus Christ? Well if you ask three preachers that same question you may get three different answers. What I find even more disturbing is if you ask ten different Christians how do they know they’re saved from hell, then all of them would probably reply because Jesus died for me. Having said that, many of the same Christians still feel that they could still go to hell for the equivalent of a misdemeanor in the eyes of Salvation.
Being that the Body of Christ consists of thousands of lose fitting doctrines it’s no wonder there is zero consistency amongst Christian believers over the subject of hell and salvation. There still remains three questions that surface whenever the question of Salvation is presented from the pulpit

1. Who did Christ really die for?

2. What is the expiration date on my salvation?

3. How many times do I have to accept Christ as my Lord and Savior before I am really saved from hell?

Now it seems the answers to all three of these questions are very obvious, but if you take a closer look at many of the sermons being preached from the pulpit each week, one could leave out of church thinking Christ only died for a few. You can also get the impression that salvation ends at the end of the church service, and you have to continue to accept Christ over and over as you savior every day before becoming truly saved.

Then You Go To Hell

If preachers really believed in true salvation then why do they preach that you can still go to hell after becoming a believer? I’m confused! Somewhere in between John 19:30 and 1 Corinthians 6:9 this issue of salvation got very twisted, and the fascination with hell became enhanced.

I listened to a guy named Pastor Charles A. Mckinney (because someone told me that he was just enamored with hell) but nevertheless I decided to clear my mind and really lend him an ear. To my amazement in a message about salvation, in which even he said “salvation is simple” Pastor McKinney went on to list dozens of offences that can land you in hell. The real issue is he never made the distinction of whether he was referring to the believer or the non-believer until the alter call at the very end of his message.

To a member sitting in his church one could get the feeling that no matter what I do or don’t do – I am still on my way to hell because I am a repeat offender. This Pastor McKinney preached about hell just as much as he preached about Jesus, and in some instances he preached Jesus and Hell in the same sentence.

I find the only thing worse than a Place Called Hell, are the Hell Bus Drivers in our pulpits. It is the preacher who feels that God has empowered them with Hell Teleporting Abilities that upset me the most.

Over and over, Pastor Charles A. McKinney sent everyone in his church to hell including all the Jews and Catholics on the face of the earth. Even if the extreme Holiness Christians would like to give him a pass on sending the Jews to hell, how you give him a pass for sending every Catholic believer in Jesus Christ to hell? In his own words –

In a message titled “What most I do to be saved” the entire premise was about hell. I thought the entire purpose of salvation was to be saved from hell, but that thought process seems to clash with the “Hell Raiser” Pastor Charles A. Mckinney.

I have said on many occasions that “paid preachers preach because they get paid,” therefore there exists a monetized benefit for Pastor McKinney to preach hell. He preaches hell because it scares the hell out of his members which keeps them coming to him, and not Jesus for protection from hell.

What Pastor Mckinney has failed to realize within his closed world is when I was an active sinner, I was not afraid of hell. Preaching hell to a person like me who created his own hell through a series of poor decisions was a very week deterrent. The only thing that brought me to Christ was the love of Christ, not a sermon about my final destination if I failed to accept him.

I think it was Marjorie Tabb (of Church Folk Revolution Radio) who said it best – “Preachers feel as if they are the Lien Holder on your salvation” which may explain the dark clouds of power they hover over fearful believers. Jesus gave me this salvation when he said “it is finished” which also means hell is finished for me. I don’t take that likely nor for granted, and I make every attempt to live a righteous life, but no preacher has the power to send me to hell.

As of today I feel that there should be an international Gag Order on the topic of hell until there is a clearer understanding of who is going to hell.

Preachers are preaching hell as a compliance violation for not adhering to all of the many ridiculous rules of the church. At one glance you could also get the impression that women are placed on the Hell Bus far more than men because the majority of the rules of church participation are reserved for women.

1. They most cover their heads in strict Pentecostal churches

2. If she has children by multiple men then she’s looked down on as a whore

3. If she was not a virgin at the time of marriage then she most wear an off-white wedding dress

4. COGIC (Church of God in Christ) women must wear the dress down to their shoes

5. Congregations are now having chastity ring ceremonies for teenage girls but no such ceremonies for teenage boys.

6. Women are not allowed to have leadership roles over men, and pastoring a church is looked upon with more disgust than being an atheist.

7. Catholic nuns are required to wear a religious uniform and remain single.

8. If the pastors commit adultery with a woman in the church then she is considered the whore and he is still the pastor with no risk of losing his position.

9. In some congregations women are not allowed to lead the congregation in prayer or even pray openly.

10. In some congregation even something as simple as red lipstick could be considered the sign of an unsaved woman

The reason I mention all of the offenses above is because there are Christian women that believe that they can go to hell for committing any of the above violations. It also seems that the only reason Christ gave his life on the cross was to establish a conduct / dress code. Really?

We have mistaken that long walk down the middle isle of the church for the walk into salvation, when the two have nothing to do with each other.

Don’t Push Me Cause I’m Close To The Edge Of Hell

You are the CEO of your own salvation, a redemption that no preacher or church violation can take from you. As I now watch Christian Conservatives speak out against government entitlements like Medicaid & Social Security, many of the same outspoken protestors are benefiting from the greatest entitlement program of all time, Salvation!

This all inclusive, all considering simple concept of salvation can be yours once you accept Christ as your Lord and Savior, which also saves you from hell. Christ never issued any other disclaimer when he died other than “It is finished” so please stop allowing preachers to place the fear of hell in your heart once you have already pledged allegiance to Christ.

No Mr. Preacher I beg to differ, this is not the end of times. I can say that definitively and strongly because no one knows when Christ is coming back, so please stop preaching hell. Surly people alive in Germany in 1945 had to think that it was the End of Times, but Germany has continued by the Grace of God.  With so much focus on hell we are losing sight of the beautiful gift of today, and the wonderful aspect of salvation.

Christ has given you something that no preacher with an ulterior motive could ever take away, your indelible right to see him one day. Yes you will see him, despite the guilt filled sermons of hell that spew out of the pulpit from a person that has the same amount of power as a plate of grits to send you to hell.

Jesus really did pay it all on the cross which means I own my salvation out-right, with no other interest payments due. You have accepted Christ, and he has accepted you, therefore anyone preaching that you are not saved from this point is trying to gain something from you out of fear.

So today we put out a call for the Redeemed Soldiers of Christ to stand up and become an army of truth and freedom, today we must become a Real Salvation Army.

Romans 10:9-10

King James Version (KJV)

9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
