At this point I am completely done with the Church of God in Christ but due to the constant reports of rapes, cover up’s, and payoffs, I can’t simply ignore this crime syndicate of a denomination. As we speak Bishop Charles Blake is putting the finishing touches on his Holy Convocation speech, and I doubt very seriously if it will deal with any of the meat and potatoes issues like the reinstatement of Bishop Charles Brown or the rapes that took place at Wilborn Temple in Albany, New York.
What many convocation goers can expect to hear at this year's Holy Convocation is the same State of the Union type of BS that Bishop Blake has now become famous for, a 60 minute speech about absolutely nothing.
Back in 2010 we asked Bishop Charles Blake for an interview on our Church Folk Revolution radio show, a request that I am very honored that he disrespectfully declined. At first I admit that my feelings were hurt at the way his secretary simply discarded our request without even the courtesy of a reply, but at the time of the request I still was infected with Mad Church Disease, a severe condition that would have prevented me from asking Bishop Blake the really tough questions like:
- How is it that the Church of God in Christ has yet to produce a list of all the convicted child molesters within COGIC that are still active in the organization?
- Why hasn’t COGIC done more to protect W.I.C. (Women, Infants, & Children) by mandating that all pastors engage in molestation prevention and awareness with their congregations?
- How is it that you (Presiding Bishop Charles Blake) allowed the reinstatement of Bishop Charles Brown the same week his rape charges were dropped due to legal technicalities, and not that he was found not guilty?
These are only a few of the questions that I would like to ask Bishop Blake and the COGIC General Board, but I am no longer holding my breath for an interview. Instead, I have decided to amp up the voices of the victims in an effort to make it increasingly difficult for Bishop Blake to take the Convocation stage with a group of men guilty of silencing the voice of children sexually assaulted on the pews of The Church of God in Christ.
Bend Over For A Spiritual Enema
Yesterday I received a link to a blog brilliantly prepared by Christopher Davis who grew up in The Church of God in Christ, and I still can’t believe the depth. Through his letter to the Capital Region COGIC Community Christopher Davis takes his readers on a step by step journey to expose the truth regarding the children raped at St John’s Church of God in Christ.
This report leaves irrefutable evidence that COGIC has an active policy of bailing-out Bishops accused of sexual crimes and shunning any efforts to identify Pedophiles.
What was even more heart breaking to read in the blog is how the Superintendents of COGIC, under direct orders of their Presiding Bishop did nothing to warn parents of the fact that active members of their church were convicted pedophiles.
I feel that every new member to the Church of God in Christ should be required to read the accounts in the blog prepared by Christopher Davis before they take their long walk down the middle isle, and lay their children at the altar of COGIC. Bishop Charles Blake you should be ashamed to preside over this Crime Family of Bishops, Elders, and Board Appointee’s. I pray that Our Lord will soon come and flush this toilet you call The Church of God in Christ, allowing your members to sit in sanitized sanctuaries for the first time since 1907.
